1991 Yamaha XTZ 660 3YF



The Yamaha XTZ 660 Ténéré is an enduro motorcycle. It is powered by a 659 cc (40.2 cu in) single-cylinder, four-stroke engine with a single overhead camshaft (SOHC) and two valves per cylinder. The engine is fed by a 36 mm (1.4 in) Mikuni carburetor and produces 46.0 horsepower (34.3 kW) at 6,000 rpm and 40.6 pound-feet (55.0 N⋅m) of torque at 5,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a five-speed transmission and a chain final drive.

The XTZ 660 has a dual cradle frame made of steel. The front suspension consists of a 43 mm (1.7 in) telescopic fork with 270 mm (10.6 in) of travel, while the rear suspension consists of a single shock with 260 mm (10.2 in) of travel. The brakes consist of a 298 mm (11.7 in) single disc brake in the front and a 245 mm (9.6 in) single disc brake in the rear. The XTZ 660 has a wet weight of 196 kg (432 lb) and a fuel capacity of 23 litres (5.1 US gal).

The XTZ 660 was introduced in 1991 and was produced until 1999. It was replaced by the Yamaha XTZ 660Z Ténéré in 2008. The XTZ 660 is a popular motorcycle among adventure riders and is known for its reliability, versatility, and off-road performance.
