## Suzuki VZ800 Marauder 1997-2002

The Suzuki VZ800 Marauder is a cruiser motorcycle that was manufactured from 1997 to 2002. It was powered by a 805 cc (49.1 cu in) V-twin engine and had a shaft drive. The Marauder was available in both standard and deluxe models, with the latter featuring a windshield, saddlebags, and a backrest.

The VZ800 engine was a 45-degree V-twin with a bore and stroke of 83 mm (3.3 in) and 74.4 mm (2.9 in), respectively. It was fed by a single Mikuni BSR32 carburetor and had a compression ratio of 9.5:1. The engine produced 50 horsepower (37 kW) at 6000 rpm and 54 lb-ft (73 N·m) of torque at 4000 rpm.

The Marauder's chassis was a steel double-cradle frame with a 61.4 in (1559 mm) wheelbase. The front suspension consisted of a 41 mm (1.6 in) telescopic fork with 5.9 in (150 mm) of travel, while the rear suspension consisted of a swingarm with dual shock absorbers and 4.3 in (109 mm) of travel. The Marauder had a seat height of 27.6 in (701 mm) and a wet weight of 532 lb (241 kg).

The Marauder was equipped with a single 296 mm (11.7 in) disc brake in the front and a single 250 mm (9.8 in) disc brake in the rear. The wheels were 19 in (483 mm) in the front and 16 in (406 mm) in the rear, and were fitted with 130/90 and 170/80 tires, respectively.

The Marauder was discontinued in 2002, and was replaced by the Suzuki M50 Boulevard.
