The KTM 150 SX was introduced in 2003 as a smaller displacement version of the 200 SX. The bike was powered by a 149.5 cc (9.1 cu in) single-cylinder two-stroke engine with a Keihin PWK 38 carburetor. The engine produced 40 horsepower (30 kW) at 11,500 rpm and 21 lb-ft (29 N⋅m) of torque at 9,500 rpm. The bike had a six-speed transmission and a hydraulic clutch.

The KTM 200 SX was introduced in 1999 as the largest displacement bike in the 125/144/150/200 range. The bike was powered by a 199.5 cc (12.17 cu in) single-cylinder two-stroke engine with a Keihin PWK 38 carburetor. The engine produced 45 horsepower (34 kW) at 11,500 rpm and 23 lb-ft (31 N⋅m) of torque at 9,500 rpm. The bike had a six-speed transmission and a hydraulic clutch.

The KTM 125/144/150/200 range was discontinued in 2010. The bikes were replaced by the KTM 125 XC, 150 XC, and 200 XC models.
