## 1985-1997 Kawasaki Ninja GPz 600R GPX600 R GPX750 R

### Overview
The Kawasaki Ninja GPz 600R, GPX600 R, and GPX750 R are a family of sport motorcycles produced by Kawasaki from 1985 to 1997. The GPz 600R was introduced in 1985 as a replacement for the GPz 550, and was followed by the GPX600 R in 1987 and the GPX750 R in 1988. The GPz 600R and GPX600 R were powered by a 592 cc inline-four engine, while the GPX750 R was powered by a 748 cc inline-four engine. All three models were equipped with a six-speed transmission and a chain drive.

### Engine
The engine in the GPz 600R, GPX600 R, and GPX750 R is a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, inline-four engine. The GPz 600R and GPX600 R have a displacement of 592 cc, while the GPX750 R has a displacement of 748 cc. The engine has a bore and stroke of 68.0 mm x 54.5 mm (GPz 600R and GPX600 R) or 72.0 mm x 54.5 mm (GPX750 R). The engine is fed by four Mikuni carburetors and has a compression ratio of 10.5:1 (GPz 600R and GPX600 R) or 10.8:1 (GPX750 R). The engine produces a maximum power output of 72.0 kW (97.0 hp) at 11,500 rpm (GPz 600R and GPX600 R) or 78.0 kW (105.0 hp) at 11,000 rpm (GPX750 R). The engine produces a maximum torque output of 65.0 Nm (48.0 lb-ft) at 9,500 rpm (GPz 600R and GPX600 R) or 70.0 Nm (51.6 lb-ft) at 9,000 rpm (GPX750 R).

### Transmission
The transmission in the GPz 600R, GPX600 R, and GPX750 R is a six-speed, constant-mesh transmission. The transmission is a wet, multi-plate clutch and a chain drive. The gear ratios are as follows:

* 3rd gear: 1.474

### Suspension
The suspension in the GPz 600R, GPX600 R, and GPX750 R consists of a telescopic fork at the front and a swingarm with a monoshock at the rear. The front fork has a diameter of 41 mm (GPz 600R and GPX600 R) or 43 mm (GPX750 R) and has a travel of 120 mm (GPz 600R and GPX600 R) or 130 mm (GPX750 R). The rear shock has a travel of 120 mm (GPz 600R and GPX600 R) or 130 mm (GPX750 R).

### Brakes
The brakes in the GPz 600R, GPX600 R, and GPX750 R consist of a single disc brake at the front and a single disc brake at the rear. The front disc brake has a diameter of 280 mm (GPz 600R and GPX600 R) or 300 mm (GPX750 R) and is equipped with a single-piston caliper. The rear disc brake has a diameter of 240 mm (GPz 600R and GPX600 R) or 250 mm (GPX750 R) and is equipped with a single-piston caliper.
