**DUCATI ALAZZURRA 350-650**

The Ducati Alazzurra 350-650 is a series of motorcycles produced by Ducati from 1996 to 1998. Designed as affordable and entry-level models, they were based on the Honda XL600V Transalp engine and chassis. The Alazzurra was available in two engine displacements: 350 cc and 650 cc.

Engine and Transmission

The Alazzurra 350 featured a liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, four-stroke engine with a displacement of 349 cc. It produced 30 horsepower at 7,500 rpm and 22 ft-lb of torque at 5,500 rpm. The 650 model, on the other hand, utilized a liquid-cooled, V-twin, four-stroke engine with a displacement of 649 cc. This engine generated 55 horsepower at 7,500 rpm and 40 ft-lb of torque at 6,000 rpm.

Both engines were mated to a five-speed manual transmission with a wet multi-plate clutch. The transmission provided smooth and reliable gear changes, making the Alazzurra easy to ride in both urban and off-road environments.

Chassis and Suspension

The Alazzurra series utilized a sturdy steel frame that provided excellent stability and handling. The front suspension consisted of a conventional telescopic fork with a generous travel of 210 mm. The rear suspension featured a monoshock with an adjustable preload and 230 mm of travel, allowing the bike to absorb bumps and uneven surfaces effortlessly.

The Alazzurra came equipped with 19-inch front wheels and 17-inch rear wheels, shod with dual-purpose tires. This combination provided a comfortable and responsive ride on both paved roads and off-road trails.

Brakes and Safety Features

Ensuring safe and reliable braking, the Alazzurra featured dual disc brakes in the front and a single disc brake in the rear. The front brakes consisted of two 280 mm discs with twin-piston calipers, while the rear brake employed a single 220 mm disc with a single-piston caliper. The brakes provided excellent stopping power and modulation, even in demanding conditions.

In terms of safety features, the Alazzurra came equipped with an immobilizer and an anti-theft system. These features prevented unauthorized use of the motorcycle and provided peace of mind to the owner.

Styling and Features

The Ducati Alazzurra exuded a rugged and sporty aesthetic, with sharp lines and a muscular profile. The distinctive Alazzurra blue and white color scheme, complemented by silver accents, created a striking and eye-catching appearance.

The Alazzurra featured a comfortable and upright riding position, making it suitable for long rides or commuting. The wide handlebar provided excellent leverage and maneuverability, while the spacious seat offered ample support for the rider.
