2008–2010 Chevrolet Malibu Hybrid

The Chevrolet Malibu Hybrid is a hybrid electric vehicle that was produced by General Motors from 2008 to 2010. It was based on the seventh-generation Chevrolet Malibu and was offered in both sedan and hatchback body styles. The Malibu Hybrid was powered by a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine and a 115-kilowatt electric motor, which combined to produce 264 horsepower. The hybrid system used a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and could operate in either electric-only mode or gasoline-only mode, or a combination of both. The Malibu Hybrid was rated by the EPA to get up to 45 mpg in the city and 47 mpg on the highway.

The Malibu Hybrid was offered in a variety of trim levels, including the LS, LT, and LTZ. Standard features on the LS trim level included 16-inch steel wheels, cloth seats, a six-speaker sound system, and a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel. The LT trim level added 17-inch alloy wheels, fog lights, a sunroof, and a seven-speaker Bose sound system. The LTZ trim level added leather seats, heated front seats, a navigation system, and a rearview camera.

The Malibu Hybrid was a popular choice for consumers who were looking for a fuel-efficient sedan or hatchback. It offered a spacious interior, a comfortable ride, and a variety of features. However, the Malibu Hybrid was not as fuel-efficient as some of its competitors, such as the Toyota Prius and the Honda Civic Hybrid.
