Cadillac XLR
Introduction
The Cadillac XLR is a luxury roadster produced by General Motors from 2003 to 2009. It was the first roadster produced by Cadillac since the Eldorado Biarritz in 1960. The XLR was based on the Corvette C6 platform and was assembled at GM's Bowling Green Assembly Plant in Kentucky.
Design
The XLR was designed by Tom Peters and featured a sleek and aerodynamic body style. The car had a long hood, a short deck, and a wide stance. The XLR's signature feature was its retractable hardtop, which could be raised or lowered in 16 seconds. The hardtop was made of aluminum and was stored in the trunk when retracted.

The XLR was produced for six years, from 2003 to 2009. A total of 15,523 XLRs were produced, including 2,423 XLR-Vs. Production of the XLR ended in 2009 due to slow sales.
