The Yanmar 3YM30, 3YM20, and 2YM15 are three-cylinder, water-cooled, four-stroke marine diesel engines with indirect injection and a displacement of 1.35 liters, 1.12 liters, and 0.85 liters, respectively. They are naturally aspirated and produce 30 horsepower (22 kW) at 3,000 rpm, 20 horsepower (15 kW) at 3,000 rpm, and 15 horsepower (11 kW) at 3,000 rpm, respectively. The engines are designed for use in a variety of marine applications, including sailboats, powerboats, and workboats.
All three engines feature a cast iron cylinder block and cylinder head, a forged steel crankshaft, and aluminum alloy pistons. The 3YM30 and 3YM20 have a bore and stroke of 75 mm × 78 mm, while the 2YM15 has a bore and stroke of 75 mm × 72 mm. The engines have a compression ratio of 18:1.
