## EPA07 and Newer Gentech Coolant Level Sensor Testing

This document provides instructions on how to test the coolant level sensor in EPA07 and newer Gentech vehicles. The coolant level sensor is a critical component of the cooling system, and it is important to ensure that it is functioning properly. A faulty coolant level sensor can lead to overheating, which can damage the engine.

### Symptoms of a Faulty Coolant Level Sensor

There are a few symptoms that may indicate that the coolant level sensor is faulty. These symptoms include:

* The coolant level gauge is reading incorrectly.
* The engine is overheating.
* The coolant level warning light is illuminated.

### Testing the Coolant Level Sensor

To test the coolant level sensor, you will need a multimeter.

1. Disconnect the electrical connector from the coolant level sensor.
2. Set the multimeter to the ohms setting.
3. Connect the positive lead of the multimeter to the terminal on the coolant level sensor that is connected to the wire harness.
4. Connect the negative lead of the multimeter to the terminal on the coolant level sensor that is connected to the ground.
5. The multimeter should read between 0 and 5 ohms. If the multimeter reads infinity, the coolant level sensor is faulty and needs to be replaced.

### Replacing the Coolant Level Sensor

If the coolant level sensor is faulty, it will need to be replaced. To replace the coolant level sensor, follow these steps:

1. Drain the coolant from the cooling system.
2. Remove the bolts that hold the coolant level sensor in place.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the coolant level sensor.
4. Remove the coolant level sensor from the engine.
5. Install the new coolant level sensor in the engine.
6. Connect the electrical connector to the coolant level sensor.
7. Fill the cooling system with coolant.
8. Start the engine and check for leaks.
