K Series

The Renault K Series engines are a family of four-cylinder, inline automotive engines developed and produced by Renault for use in its range of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles. Introduced in 2012, the K Series engines feature an aluminum block and head, with a timing chain-driven overhead camshaft and variable valve timing. The engines are available in a range of displacements from 1.0 to 1.6 liters and are offered in both naturally aspirated and turbocharged configurations. The K Series engines are known for their fuel efficiency, low emissions, and smooth operation. They have been widely used in a variety of Renault models, including the Clio, Mégane, Scénic, and Kadjar.

The K Series engines have been continuously updated and improved since their introduction. In 2018, Renault introduced a new generation of K Series engines with improved fuel efficiency and performance. The new engines feature a number of improvements, including a new combustion chamber design, a higher compression ratio, and a new fuel injection system. The new K Series engines are also available with a range of new technologies, including a stop-start system and a particulate filter.
