The Renault 852 and J8S Engines

The Renault 852 and J8S engines are inline-4, naturally aspirated, petrol engines that were produced by Renault from 1955 to 1972. These engines were used in a variety of Renault vehicles, including the Dauphine, Caravelle, Floride, and 8 Gordini.

The 852 engine was the first of the two engines to be introduced, and it was produced from 1955 to 1962. It has a displacement of 845 cc and produces 33 bhp at 4500 rpm.

The J8S engine was introduced in 1962 and was produced until 1972. It has a displacement of 956 cc and produces 50 bhp at 5000 rpm.
