FIAT BRAVO / BRAVA



The **FIAT Bravo / Brava** is a small family car produced by the Italian manufacturer **FIAT** from 1995 to 2001. The Bravo was a three-door hatchback, while the Brava was a five-door hatchback. Both cars were based on the **Fiat Tipo platform**.

The Bravo and Brava were launched in 1995, and were available with a range of petrol and diesel engines. The petrol engines ranged in size from 1.2-liters to 1.8-liters, while the diesel engines ranged in size from 1.9-liters to 2.4-liters.

The Bravo and Brava were both facelifted in 1999, and received a number of changes, including a new front grille, new headlights, and new taillights. The interior was also redesigned, and the cars received a number of new features, such as a new stereo system and new air conditioning system.

The Bravo and Brava were discontinued in 2001, and were replaced by the **Fiat Stilo**.

Performance



The Bravo and Brava were not particularly fast cars, but they were adequate for most drivers. The 1.2-liter petrol engine was the slowest, with a 0-60 mph time of 13.5 seconds, while the 1.8-liter petrol engine was the fastest, with a 0-60 mph time of 8.5 seconds. The diesel engines were slower than the petrol engines, with the 1.9-liter 8-valve SOHC engine having a 0-60 mph time of 14.5 seconds.

Handling



The Bravo and Brava handled well, and were fun to drive on winding roads. The cars had a good balance of ride and handling, and were comfortable to drive on long journeys.

Interior



The Bravo and Brava had a spacious interior, and were comfortable for four adults. The cars had a well-equipped interior, and came with a range of standard features, such as power steering, electric windows, and air conditioning.

Safety



The Bravo and Brava were not particularly safe cars, and received a two-star rating in the **Euro NCAP** crash test. The cars did not have any airbags as standard, and they did not have any other safety features, such as ABS or ESP.

Conclusion



The FIAT Bravo / Brava was a good all-round car. It was spacious, comfortable, and fun to drive. However, it was not particularly fast or safe.
