CITROËN GS AND GSA



Launched at the 1970 Geneva Motor Show, the GS was Citroën's innovative replacement for the hugely successful but aging ID/DS. The GS was a resolutely modern design, featuring a transversely mounted front engine, front-wheel drive, and hydropneumatic suspension. It was also the first Citroën to feature a hatchback body style, a feature that would become increasingly popular in the years to come.
