The Citroën CX is a large, front-wheel drive executive car that was produced by the French automaker Citroën from 1974 to 1991. It was designed to replace the Citroën DS as the company's flagship model, and it was one of the most technologically advanced cars of its time.

The CX was equipped with a hydropneumatic suspension system, which offered a very smooth and comfortable ride. The suspension system also allowed the car to be raised or lowered by the driver.

The CX was a very aerodynamic car. It had a drag coefficient of just 0.32, which was one of the lowest of any car of its time.

The CX was a popular car in France, and it was also exported to many other countries around the world. It was particularly popular in the United Kingdom, where it was sold as the Citroën CX GTI.

Production of the CX ended in 1991, and it was replaced by the Citroën XM.
