Cadillac SRX Overview

The Cadillac SRX is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV that was produced by Cadillac from 2004 to 2016. It was the first crossover SUV produced by Cadillac, and was based on the GM Theta platform shared with the Saab 9-4X and Saturn Outlook. The SRX was available in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations, and was powered by a variety of V6 and V8 engines.

First Generation (2004-2009)

The first-generation SRX was introduced in 2004 as a 2005 model. It was available in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations, and was powered by a 3.6L V6 engine or a 4.6L V8 engine. The second-generation SRX was available in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations, and was powered by a 3.0L V6 engine or a 3.6L V6 engine. The SRX was offered in four trim levels: Base, Luxury, Premium, and Performance. Standard features on the Base trim level included 18-inch alloy wheels, a six-speaker audio system, and dual-zone climate control. The Luxury trim level added leather seats, a sunroof, and a Bose premium audio system. The Premium trim level added a navigation system, a rear-seat entertainment system, and heated and cooled front seats. The Performance trim level added a sport-tuned suspension, 20-inch alloy wheels, and a more powerful V6 engine.

Engines and Performance

The Cadillac SRX was available with a variety of V6 and V8 engines. The 3.6L V6 engine was the most common engine, and was available in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations.
