The AMC 232 & 258 inline 6-cylinder engines are renowned for their durability, reliability, and power. These engines were used in a wide variety of vehicles, including Jeep CJs and Wranglers, AMC Hornets and Eagles, and even International Harvester Scouts.

The 232 engine was first introduced in 1964, and the 258 engine was introduced in 1971.
